Carroll University warns students about two separate assaults

WAUKESHA -- Carroll University in Waukesha alerts its students after two assaults on or near the campus in the last week.

"We're flooding the area with patrol officers, they're stepping up their security so it's gonna be a pretty safe place in the next couple days - that's for sure," said Sgt. Jerry Habanek of the Waukesha Police Department.

Investigators say the two incidents should not cause alarm around Carroll University.

Tuesday night, a female student said a man approached her near Frontier Hall for the second time this month. She did not report the first incident. Police say he did the same thing to the woman both times.

"Pulled her in to him while he was fondling her, again kissing her neck. She broke away and got back into the apartment building," said Sgt. Habanek.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic man in his late 20’s or early 30’s, wearing all green with short black spiky hair.  He’s between 5’4” and 5’6” and weighs between 180-200 pounds. He also has a tattoo on his forearm.

Then early Thursday morning, a male student reported being assaulted by two men, described as Hispanic males, around 18 years old and about 5'3".

Police say the crimes are not connected -- and the area around Carroll University is safe.

If you have information that could help investigators on this case, you're urged to call the Waukesha Police Department.
