Paul Ryan to make campaign stop in Milwaukee on "Election Eve"

MILWAUKEE — Vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan is set to make a stop in Milwaukee on "Election Eve" -- with less than 24 hours to go before voters head to the polls. Ryan is expected to make an appearance at a rally at Sterling Aviation at General Mitchell International Airport.

The event is free to the public, but tickets are required. Tickets may be obtained by visiting www.mittromney.com/WI.

Monday was the last day of campaigning before the polls open on Tuesday morning, and Republican vice presidential candidate and Wisconsin Congressman Paul Ryan was busy.

Ryan began his day with an event at Atlantic Aviation in Reno, Nevada.

"We need to step up, solve our country's problems, elect real leaders, get this nation back on the right track, and tomorrow we do that by voting for Mitt Romney as the next president of the United States," Ryan told the crowd.

Next, Ryan stopped at a rally at Johnson's Corner in Johnstown, Colorado.

Monday evening, Ryan will appear at a rally in Des Moines, Iowa, before rounding out the evening with airport stops in Vienna, Ohio and Milwaukee.

On Sunday, Ryan was at Lambeau Field for a special Green Bay Packers tailgate, along with Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Senator Ron Johnson and Rep. Reid Ribble. The Republicans met with supporters and made their case for the Romney/Ryan ticket -- urging voters to head to the polls on Tuesday.

"Ultimately, the only poll that matters is on Election Day. I mean it's close, it's tight. You see the number of 49-49. That's obviously as close as you can get, but in the end, it's about turnout," Gov. Walker said.

Doors open at 7:45 p.m. for Ryan's Milwaukee event, and the program begins at 10:15 p.m.
