Parts of Washington Co. receive 6 inches, roadways clear

WEST BEND -- Winter storm and blizzard conditions will be sweeping across Wisconsin Thursday into Friday, creating slippery roadways and a snow day for many students. One area that can expect to be hit hard is Washington County.

At this time, a wet sleet is hitting the West Bend area. Snow plows are busy clearing the roadways of the nearly six inches some areas of Washington County have received thus far.

At this time, no major accidents have been reported in the West Bend area, however, motorist are reminded to drive slow and plan head. The Washington County Sheriff's Department tells FOX6 News that several areas along the highways are slippery, causing several motorists to slide into the ditch.
