Crews clean up ammonia leak in Sheboygan

SHEBOYGAN (WITI) -- An ammonia leak in Sheboygan causes a bit of a scare on Tuesday afternoon, January 29th.

Authorities say a tank holding anhydrous ammonia at American Orthodontics began leaking around 1 p.m.

Workers were evacuated and people living nearby were told to stay inside their homes.

The leak was repaired around 3 p.m. and everyone was allowed back inside the building.

The cause of the leak is under investigation.
