After the snow storm, drivers look to replace windshield wipers

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- In the wake of the most recent snow storm, drivers everywhere are cursing their windshield wipers -- which aren't quite wiping everywhere they're supposed to be.

Automotive technician Tony Krumrai says wiped-out wipers are a common sight this time of year.

"With ice and snow, and things like that, they can get damaged pretty easy, trying to clean your windshield. Even the ice and the snow on the windshield -- running 'em, when it hasn't totally thawed off," said Krumrai.

Along with all their usual repair work, techs like Krumrai are busy changing out wiper blades for customers.

Replacements blades usually cost between $12 and $20. But that's a small price to pay to avoid any unfortunate incidents.
