LAS VEGAS (WITI) — The unofficial spokesman for the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas has died of a heart attack.

52-year-old John Alleman was never on the payroll, but a staple of the restaurant nonetheless.

Alleman was a restaurant regular who would come to the grill so often he was featured on its official clothing.

For the past year-and-a-half, Alleman would stand outside trying to usher people to try the Grill’s over-the-top burger creations. For compensation, the restaurant owner would occasionally give Alleman some free food.

The restaurant currently holds the Guinness World Record for most calorific burger.

Ironically, the Heart Attack Grill’s slogan is “a taste worth dying for.”
