McCartney to perform at Miller Park in July

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Paul McCartney has added Milwaukee's Miller Park to his list of concert venues in which he'll perform on his "Out There" tour this summer. McCartney is set to play at Miller Park on Tuesday, July 16th.

"Concerts are a big deal here. It shows our fans and the taxpayers that Miller Park is not just a baseball stadium. Sir Paul will be performing songs that spanned his entire career -- that as a solo artist, that as a member of the group Wings and of course, his time with the Beatles. Wright calls the event an opportunity to see one of the people who developed what music has become today," Jason Wright, Senior V.P. of booking for Live Nation concerts said.

"I think the tree of music and how it extends from an artist like Sir Paul McCartney, it's extraordinary. I mean, it reaches so many different places. He appeals to people of all demos and all ages. I've got young teenagers and they wanna come, you know? And I've got my parents, and they wanna come. And of course I'm gonna be here, enjoying every moment of it!" Wright said.

Tickets to the McCartney show will be on sale beginning Friday, April 19th at 10 a.m. at LiveNation.com and Brewers.com/McCartney, the Miller Park Ticket Office, or calling 414-902-4000. American Express® Cardmembers can purchase tickets before the general public beginning Tuesday, April 16 at 10 a.m. through Thursday, April 18th at 10 p.m.

Tickets are set to range from $39 to $50, to $255.

Paul McCartney's "Out There" tour will feature brand new, never before seen production and, as ever, hours of material from the most beloved catalog in popular music, with Paul performing songs spanning his entire career--as a solo artist, member of Wings and of course The Beatles.
