Brewers survive Giants comeback for 10-8 win

MILWAUKEE -- After scoring 7 runs in their previous 4 games, the Brewers exploded for a season-high 8 runs in the 3rd inning, then hung on for a 10-8 win over the San Francisco Giants Tuesday night at Miller Park.

Yuniesky Betancourt's grand slam homer highlighted the eruption, but starting pitcher Wily Peralta struggled and had to be removed before the end of the 5th inning.

Nori Aoki's 8th inning homer gave the Crew some breathing room; the Giants tacked on one more for the 10-8 final in game one of the homestand and the 3 game series.

Still bothered by a sore neck, Ryan Braun struck out 4 times.

Kyle Lohse takes the mound for Milwaukee in game 2 on Wednesday night.
