Beyond the Game: UW-Milwaukee Panthers baseball

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The snow and rain created obstacles for the UW-Milwaukee baseball team during the 2013 season. Yet, despite the long winter, the only Division 1 baseball team in the state found ways to overcome adversities and achieve something that they haven't been able to do in 12 years.

The Panthers beat Northern Illinois Tuesday night, May 14th in walk off fashion for their regular season finale. The victory was the 16th in a row on their home field, and that is a Division 1 record.

UWM will now have to win their conference tournament, which begins on May 22nd to make it into the NCAA Tournament field of 64 teams.
