Engineering students build LEGO replica of Lambeau Field

GREEN BAY (WITI) -- Students from the Milwaukee School of Engineering are building a scale model replica of Lambeau Field -- using LEGOs!

The project started months ago and took about 1,500 hours worth of planning.

"It's one of those opportunities you can't say no to," said student Justin Cosgrove.

The group began building LEGO Lambeau inside the Lambeau Field Atrium on Thursday, August 1st, and hope to have the project finished on Sunday, August 5th.

"I mean, look at how big it is. Look at the scale. Look at the time we've put into it already," said student Chris Zajac.

The replica contains about 130,000 LEGO blocks and weighs almost 500 pounds.
