Police release images of possible residential burglary suspects

BROOKFIELD (WITI) -- The Brookfield Police Department is investigating a residential burglary that occurred in the area of Capitol Drive and Brookfield Road Thursday, September 12th. Surveillance images of the possible suspects were recovered from the Walmart located on West Greenfield Avenue.

Police say the suspects used the victim's credit card to purchase steaks.

Police say the suspects entered the home September 12th through an unsecured rear patio door and stole several electronics, a watch and the homeowner’s wallet — which contained cash and credit cards.

Police say the credit cards were fraudulently used.

According to officials, the suspects entered the home between 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. while the residents were home.

Authorities say this incident is similar to a recent investigation in Menomonee Falls.

Brookfield police are reminding all residents to properly secure all doors and windows, turn on outside lights, be vigilant, and report any suspicious activities or persons to their local police department immediately.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Brookfield Police Department at 262-787-3614.
