Dodge County deputies in manhunt for William Rennhack



DODGE CO. (WITI) -- The Dodge County Sheriff's Department is engaged in a manhunt for a suspect who stole a vehicle and led police on a chase on Wednesday, October 23rd.

The suspect being sought is William Rennhack. He is a male, white, approximately 21 years old, 6’2”, 170 lbs, red hair and brown eyes.

Officials were first tipped off to this case just before 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Deputies were investigating a report of a stolen vehicle. They found the vehicle -- and a short traffic pursuit ensued involving the Town of Oconomowoc Police Department.

A short time later, Rennhack's vehicle was found in the area of Monroe and Lafollette Rd. in the Town of Lebanon, Dodge County. Rennhack fled on foot and involved law enforcement began a search of the area.

As of 8:30 p.m., Dodge County Sheriff’s Dept. personnel discontinued their active search of the area in the Village of Ashippun. The Sheriff’s Department will continue an active patrol of the area.

Rennhack is potentially armed and has active warrants for his arrest. If Rennhack is seen we ask citizens to make no contact and to call 911 and report. We are asking citizens in the area of Monroe and Lafollette Rds, to include the Village of Ashippun and nearby surrounding areas, to secure their homes and garages. Citizens should insure their vehicles are locked and secure.
