MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Winter parking regulations for the City of Milwaukee take effect this Sunday, December 1st and remain in effect until Saturday, March 1st, 2014.

During the winter period, most residential streets require alternate side night parking, however there are some exceptions — such as no overnight parking on major arterial streets and bus routes.

Residents can also sign up for the Snow Mobile-Winter Text Alert, which informs subscribers when the City declares a snow emergency.

The Department of Public Works encourages residents to follow winter parking regulations which helps crews remove snow effectively, efficiently and safely during the winter season.
