Wauk. man accused of possessing child porn pleads not guilty

WAUKESHA (WITI) – 37-year-old Brian Stoller,  the Waukesha man charged with ten felony criminal counts of possession of child pornography, pleaded not guilty to the charges on Thursday, January 2nd.

According to the criminal complaint filed in this case, detectives with the Waukesha Police Department were searching in August for individuals who were sharing child pornography through file sharing networks. They apparently came upon an IP address in their community. On two separates dates, files were allegedly being shared from that IP address showing “pre-pubescent” children engaged in inappropriate acts. Based on the content of the video files, the detectives obtained a warrant to search the residence where the IP address was located. It was Stoller’s residence.

The complaint indicates when officers searched Stoller’s home on Tuesday, October 29th, they found “numerous computer devices and hard drives,” some of which contained child pornography. Multiple video files were located and confiscated.

According to the complaint, when the detectives spoke with Stoller about the video files, he told them “he used file sharing networks at first for only movies and games, but did begin using it to obtain child pornography.”

Stoller is in custody at the Waukesha County Jail. He's expected back in court on January 31st. If convicted, Stoller faces up to 25 years in prison and $100,000 in fines.
