Police investigating shooting near Center & Holton Streets

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened around 7:20 p.m. Thursday, January 9th.

The incident took place near Center St. and Holton St.

Authorities say a victim in his late teens or early 20's was shot and transported to an area hospital. His condition is unknown at this time, however police say he did not die at the scene.

Officials do not know of a motive and would not comment on how many suspects they are looking for in connection with the shooting.

No one has been taken into custody at this time.
