ELKHART LAKE (WITI) — The Rockerbox Motofest, featuring a mix of Euro, Japanese and American vintage café racers, choppers, sport bikes, racing machines, super motos, scooters, and sidecars is making an official move for the future.

Instead of its usual Milwaukee home, the event is making the trek 60 miles north to America’s National Park of Speed as part of  Road America’s American Historic Racing Motorcycle Association (AHRMA) Vintage Motorcycle Classic, June 6-8.

The Rockerbox Motofest includes a ride-in bike show and competition showcasing the greatest in classic style, fresh customization, plus all that is unusual and incredible. All makes and models of bikes are welcome, and spectators will find hundreds of bikes competing for space alongside dealers and vendors of all things motorcycling.

Spectators are encouraged to attend on their cycles and event details; ticket pricing and camping information can be found at roadamerica.com or by calling 800-365-7223. Children 12 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult. Parking, paddock access and grandstand seating are free with every ticket.

Kind of a bummer. I haven’t been there for a few years but there was something cool about having it for free in Riverwest right by Fuel Café. Now you’ll have to pay admission just to go.

A multi-day event, and a beautiful ride north from my home in Cedarburg is fantastic! Having it on multiple days will also be great for anyone who might be able to only make it to one day. Plus, having AHRMA involved, and the BUILD program is going to be a motorcycle heaven!!! Sorry Riverwest.

Rockerbox is a great experience for one reason, it is a real festival about motorcycles. People came from miles away virtually from word of mouth in the motorcycle community. It isn’t about big business trying to be part of the culture which is looking for ways to make money off of the culture. Trailer up boys and girls, your going to Elkhart Lake!

Bummer it’s moving. I suppose it was getting too big and rowdy for river west though. It’s a shame because I probably won’t go now. Nit sure my vintage bike would safely make the trek another 60 mikes north.

True, we will lose some of the ambience of River West, BUT, There will be more room, more bikes, more vendors , more fun + it is really a two for one deal as ARMA will also be there for all of you racers. This will keep the “Best in the Midwest” motorcycle event intact any allow enthusiasts to continue to be part of an awesome gathering.
To SB’s comment above, Road America will have a spot for your trailer to load / unload / park.

Glad I made it last year. It was only 5 miles from my friends house. I will be looking into going north, I have been as far north as Port Wash.

Fantastic, rockerbox was way to big to remain a 8 hour street fest. Better weather, vintage races and an ice cold bottle of Spatan for $5!?! Was growing tired of how cramped Center st got, hot sweaty and crowded. Go big or go home
