MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Purple Door Ice Cream recently announced a major expansion and location change, and will be hosting a grand opening event on Saturday, April 12 from noon to 9 p.m.  at 205 S. 2nd Street, Milwaukee.

“We’re thrilled about this new expansion and what it means for our flavor selection and client base,” Purple Door Co- owner Lauren Schulz said. “This new space allows us the opportunity to grow both locally and regionally and will also provide room for us to expand our in-store selection of fun flavors.”

Because of this growth, store patrons and grand opening guests can now explore more Purple Door flavors than ever, including bacon, whiskey and salted caramel.

Locals recognize Purple Door as a leader in ice cream innovation and as creators of new flavors for Milwaukee restaurants and grocery stores. You can find their product at restaurants and stores such as Honeypie Cafe, Smoke Shack, Outpost Grocery and many more.

This new space will allow for major expansion, such as boosting Purple Door’s dipping cabinet selection by over 12 flavors, as well as the ability to start selling ice cream sodas, ice cream sandwiches and ice cream cakes.

Purple Door Ice Cream originally shared a storefront with Clock Shadow Creamery, another popular business in Walker’s Point.

All members of the public are welcome at Saturday’s event.
