CRUNCHED: Two hurt, four cars damaged after crane overturns
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A crane lifting building material overturned along Prospect Ave. just south of North Ave. on Milwaukee's East Side around 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 9th. The crane ended up causing damage to four cars, a light pole and an electrical line.
Two people were hurt when the car they were in was struck. The couple (and their dog) did not seek any medical attention.
"I was terrified, I thought they'd definitely been hurt because of the way it fell on the windshield," said Luke Miller, who heard the collapse.
Instead, the couple say in a nearby lot, watching police investigate the wreck that totaled their car.
The other three cars were empty at the time of the wreck.
Milwaukee police are trying to determine the cause of the wreck.
