Love Disney's "Frozen?" Watch it in the park this weekend!

WAUKESHA (WITI) -- The City of Waukesha Parks, Recreation & Forestry Department announces Movie Night in the Park will take place Friday, May 30 at Cutler Park in Waukesha and feature the Disney box office blockbuster, Frozen!

Free special activities for children will begin at 7:30 p.m. and will include several Waukesha Youth Collaborative organizations.

The movie will begin at 8:30 p.m.

“Movie in the Park is a wonderful free community event and a great way to kick off the start of summer,” said Pat Grulke, Recreation Services Manager. “This year’s movie seems to be really popular and we anticipate a great crowd.”

Disney’s Frozen, based on a Hans Christian Andersen fairytale, takes place in the kingdom of Arendelle.

The powerful Snow Queen Elsa casts the kingdom into eternal winter.

Her sprightly sister Anna teams up with mountaineer Kristoff and his trusty reindeer Sven to break the icy spell.

The movie will begin at 8:30 p.m. and free popcorn will be available to the first 300 children attending the event.

Families are encouraged to bring blankets and lawn chairs for this outdoor event.

In case of rain, the event will be moved to Schuetze Recreation Center, 1120 Baxter St., Waukesha.
