Police: Fight between children leads to family quarrel, and shots are fired
MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- A fight between two young children on Friday night, June 27th led to a family quarrel, which resulted in gun violence.
A police captain says two kids between the ages of 11 and 12 years old were fighting in the 3900 block of W. Sheridan Ave around 5:00 p.m. That's when family members got involved.
At first the family members were physically fighting each other, but someone retrieved a gun, and shot into the group of people, according to police.
A 36-year-old man and a 42-year-old man were able to take themselves to the hospital for treatment of non life-threatening gunshot wounds.
There is one suspect in custody.
Around 7:00 p.m. police responded to another gun incident in the 4100 block of W. Fairmount Ave.
A 63-year-old male was the victim of a non life-threatening gunshot injury.
There are no suspects in custody.
