Police: Three people shot in separate incidents Tuesday night; shootings under investigation

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating two shootings that occurred on Tuesday night, July 29th.

The first occurred in the 5600 block of N. Long Island Drive around 7:15 p.m.

Police say a 19-year-old man was shot and sustained a non life-threatening injury. He was taken to the hospital for a treatment.

Police say the shooting occurred after a neighborhood fight involving multiple individuals.

Police say there are individuals who were taken into custody in connection with this shooting.

Police continue to investigate.

The second shooting occurred in the 4700 block of N. 19th Place -- just before 8:00 p.m.

Police say a 15-year-old male and a 27-year-old man were shot.

The 15-year-old sustained a non life-threatening injury. The 27-year-old man sustained a serious injury.

Both were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police say the motive for this shooting is unknown -- and there are no suspects in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.
