BUSTED: Pleasant Prairie police find 1.6 pounds of cocaine in vehicle; 23-year-old man arrested

PLEASANT PRAIRIE (WITI) -- Pleasant Prairie police say a 23-year-old Kenosha man was arrested after police found 1.6 pounds of cocaine in his vehicle.

It happened on Sunday, July 27th -- just before 8:30 p.m.

A Pleasant Prairie police officer stopped a car coming from the 9800 block of Sheridan Road after noting suspicious behavior.

Due to the circumstances surrounding the stop, the officer requested the assistance from Pleasant Prairie K-9 Echo and his handler. Echo, while conducting an external sniff of the car, alerted on the contents of the car and officers searching the inside of the car located 1.6 pounds of cocaine and $40,763.

The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody for Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Deliver and Bail Jumping charges stemming from previous narcotics charges.
