Total loss: Several departments called out to barn fire in Town of Somers
TOWN OF SOMERS (WITI) -- Fire crews from several departments on Saturday morning, August 9th were on the scene of a barn fire in the Town of Somers.
The fire broke out around 6:00 a.m. on 38th Street in the Town of Somers.
When crews arrived on scene, the barn was fully engulfed in flames.
Officials say 11 different departments responded to the scene -- and the fire was under control within an hour.
No animals were injured in the fire — as the barn stored only wood and industrial equipment.
The barn is a total loss.
The cause of the fire is unknown and remains under investigation.
