"Be a part of something very special:" Racine Zoo launches live "CubCam!"

RACINE (WITI) -- The Racine Zoo has launched of a live, color “CubCam” on its website, racinezoo.org.  Visitors to the website can log on to watch the three lion cubs with their mother, Azizi, 24-hours a day.

“The CubCam provides a really unique opportunity for people to view and be a part of something very special,” said Theresa Donarksi, curator of conservation and animal care. “The cam is also a great tool we can use to educate both children and adults about this vulnerable species and the importance of taking action toward conservation.”

Zoo staff is also working to install a television monitor just outside the indoor lion exhibit so guests can view the cubs via CubCam before the official exhibit opening.
