He was heavily intoxicated: Medical Examiner issues report on man who drowned in La Crosse
LA CROSSE (AP) — La Crosse County's Medical Examiner says a man who drowned in the Black River was heavily intoxicated.
The body of 23-year-old Shalim Augustine of La Crosse was found in the river July 11th.
He had been missing for several days.
Medical Examiner Tim Candahl says toxicology tests show Augustine's blood alcohol content was .32, which is four times the legal limit for driving.
Augustine had gone boating with co-workers and headed for home on foot after they docked.
