Windows, doors & more: Preparations underway for NARI Fall Home & Remodeling Show

WEST ALLIS (WITI) -- It's the sights and sounds of a remodeling project before the real remodeling begins.

"There will be people setting up all through the day on Thursday and doing some spit polishing on Friday morning before we open at 10 a.m.," said Milwaukee NARI Spokesperson Dave Amoroso.

300 booths are in the process of being set up at State Fair Park's Wisconsin Expo Center for the 24th Annual Milwaukee NARI Fall Home and Remodeling Show.

"This is really a great opportunity for these Milwaukee NARI member contractors to really show off what they can do for local homeowners," said Amoroso.

Some of the booths are pretty elaborate, including that of Mukwonago Remodeling Co-Owner Scott Riemer.

"We'll have 10 employees setting up and it takes us about 10 hours, so about 100 man hours," said Reimer.

With a captive audience at the show, Riemer says the long set-up hours are worth it to grab people's attention.

"People all the time, they'll walk in and usually the response is, 'Honey come here, this is what I want,'" said Reimer.

Visitors will have plenty of options as it's one-stop shopping.

"If you're looking for windows for example, you can find several window display companies. If you're looking for HVAC, or kitchen remodeling or bathroom remodeling whatever it might be for the home," said Amoroso.

The Milwaukee NARI Fall Home and Remodeling Show opens on Friday at 10 a.m. at the Wisconsin Expo Center at State Fair Park and runs through Sunday. For more information on the event, CLICK HERE.
