MILWAUKEE (WITI) — Milwaukee police arrested at 15-year-old girl on Thursday, September 25th who is suspected of robbing a business on S. Kinnickinnic Ave. They had a victim’s statement, a coffee cup and a job application to help them in their investigation.

Officers were dispatched to the robbery at a business on Kinnickinnic a couple blocks south of Lincoln around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The victim, a 38-year-old Milwaukee woman, told officers a female suspect entered the business and when the suspect was about to pay for an item she took out a knife and demanded money from the cash register. The victim complied with the demands and the suspect fled on foot.

The victim gave officers a detailed description of the suspect including that she was carrying a coffee cup from a nearby fast food restaurant. Officers went to the restaurant, viewed surveillance video and identified the suspect. As it turns out, 20 minutes before the armed robbery, the suspect had filled out a job application.

Using her address from the application, officers went to the suspect’s home on E. Lincoln Ave. and took her into custody.
