Packers buy up more property: Organization buys Mobil gas station near Lambeau for nearly $1.5 million

GREEN BAY (WITI) -- The Green Bay Packers have purchased the Mobil gas station on Lombardi Avenue across from Lambeau Field.

The Packers organization bought the station for nearly $1.5 million.

The team is also reportedly in the process of buying a nearby Citgo station.

The purchases are part of the team's efforts to acquire property near Lambeau for redevelopment into non-football sources of income.

The team now owns 63 acres west of the stadium.
