Gargoyles, Grotesques, and Demons: Walking tour highlights a spooky Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- You don't have to go to a haunted house to find some place spooky in Milwaukee. In fact, there are places all over the city built to scare all year long!

Sunday, October 19th, was the "Gargoyles, Grotesques, and Demons" walking tour. It highlighted much of Milwaukee architecture.

That's because covering many downtown buildings are fantastical creatures.

The tour guide said some of the faces you see on the walking tour date back to medieval churches. They were used to remind people of demons, waiting for sinners.

Stops included the Wells building on Wisconsin Ave., the Cathedral on Jackson Street, and the Mitchell Building on Michigan.
