West Allis police called to home for report of shots fired; man taken into custody

WEST ALLIS (WITI) — West Allis police responded to a home near 77th and W. Hicks early Tuesday morning, December 16th after receiving a report of a disturbance and gunshots fired at a residence.

A preliminary investigation revealed that an adult male subject had fired a handgun inside of the residence and remained inside with the firearm.

When officers arrived on scene, they secured the area and attempted contact with the subject. Officers continued attempts to contact the subject and he ultimately exited the residence.

Police say a 27-year-old man was taken into custody without further incident.

At this time, there are no reported injuries from the possible gunshots.

No additional details have been release and the incident remains under investigation.
