City of Milwaukee Health Department to offer additional Saturday immunization clinics

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- The City of Milwaukee Health Department will open its Southside Health Center (1639 S. 23rd St.) on Saturday, Feb. 7, and Keenan Health Center (3200 N. 36th St.) on Saturday, Feb. 14, to provide Milwaukee parents additional hours to access school-required immunizations, including the Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) vaccine.

Clinic hours will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. both days.

Wisconsin law requires that children be immunized against a range of illnesses, such as mumps, measles, and pertussis, in order to attend school and child care settings. These special clinics are being offered to assist parents in complying with state law to avoid children being excluded from school.
