GRAFTON (WITI) -- 31-year-old Joseph Damrow faces multiple charges after an alleged domestic violence incident at a home on Spring Street in the Village of Grafton on Saturday, February 7th.

Damrow faces the following criminal counts: Attempted first-degree intentional homicide (2 counts), second-degree reckless injury, failure to comply with officer's attempt to take person into custody, throwing or discharging bodily fluids at public safety worker and possession with intent to deliver cocaine.

According to the criminal complaint, officers were called to the home on Spring St. because of a 911 call for a disturbance. One police sergeant arriving on the scene knew Damrow lived there. The complaint says Damrow said "he was armed with a handgun." Officers on the scene "relayed through dispatch that Damrow should put the gun down and step outside to speak with the officers." Damrow refused to do so.

A short time later, the complaint indicates shots were heard inside the home. At that point, officers "kicked in the front door and entered." They found a woman yelling, "he shot me." Damrow allegedly then fired a couple of shots into a wall -- with officers on the opposite side. Those officers located Damrow in the kitchen -- where he "immediately placed his hands up in the air and stood up."

Officers and deputies attempted to put Damrow into custody -- but the complaint indicates he resisted. At one point he kicked a deputy "in the face with his foot." Damrow was also allegedly "spitting on officers, deputies and other emergency personnel" on the scene.

Officers conducted a search of Damrow's property and found "at least seven individually packaged plastic bindles containing a white powdery substance that were later tested and found positive for cocaine." Police also found a large amount of cash on Damrow.

If convicted, Damrow faces up to 60 years in prison.
