Police: 56-year-old woman shot while sitting in vehicle on Milwaukee's north side

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police are investigating the fatal shooting of a woman that happened near 28th and Ruby on the city's north side on Friday morning, February 27th.

Officials say the 56-year-old victim was shot shortly after 8:00 a.m. while inside a vehicle. She was taken to a hospital where she died from her injuries.

Police have identified the victim as Lennair Davis.

Milwaukee police are searching for suspects. However, they do not believe this was a random act.
