Police investigating bomb threat at University of Wisconsin

MADISON (AP) — Authorities are investigating an overnight bomb threat at the University of Wisconsin.

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Police sent out an alert just before 1 a.m. Friday, asking people to leave Memorial Union and avoid the surrounding area.

Police issued an update about two hours later to inform the campus community that the situation had ended.

The area around Memorial Union has since reopened.

No further details have been released.
