Wisconsin fans take to State Street despite loss to Duke

MADISON (AP) — Wisconsin fans filled State Street in downtown Madison Monday night, April 6th, dancing and jumping around, despite a loss to Duke in the NCAA championship.

The Badgers fell 68-63 to the Blue Devils Monday night in Indianapolis.

The crowd on State Street chanted, "Let's go Wisco," as they walked up and down Madison's busiest downtown street.

Fireworks burst overhead, and police officers kept pedestrian traffic flowing smoothly.

University police said they were pleased with crowd behavior during the Final Four matchup with Kentucky over the weekend and had encouraged safety no matter the outcome Monday night.
