Busted: Police arrest Michigan man at Mount Pleasant gas station, in possession of 51 grams of marijuana

MOUNT PLEASANT (WITI) -- Mount Pleasant police arrested a Michigan man at a gas station after he was found to be in possession of 51 grams of marijuana.

On Saturday, April 11th, just before 9:30 a.m., dispatchers got a call regarding a suspicious man at the Kwik Trip gas station on SE Frontage Road. Police were dispatched to the gas station.

There, they spoke with the sole occupant of a vehicle, and while doing so, officers could smell a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The 50-year-old Michigan man advised he had a medical marijuana card out of Michigan.

The vehicle was searched and officers found 51 grams of marijuana, several marijuana pipes and approximately $2,000 in cash.

The driver was arrested, and is being held at the Racine County Jail on charges of possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
