Police called out to two shootings within 15 minutes; one dead, three wounded



MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police were called out to the scene of two shootings that occurred within about 15 minutes of each another late on Monday night, April 13th -- one of them with three victims.

The triple shooting occurred near Hopkins and Stark. This is a homicide investigation. Police say a 17-year-old girl was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other victims -- a 25-year-old man and a 26-year-old man were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. They are expected to survive.

No one is in custody.

About 15 minutes earlier, police were dispatched to the 4800 block of W. Center Street. Just after 8:30 p.m., police found a 27-year-old man -- shot after a suspect confronted him during a robbery.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. He is expected to survive.

No one is in custody.
