Video posted to Instagram appears to show mom slapping son during #BaltimoreRiots

BALTIMORE (WITI) -- Chaos and violence erupted on the streets of Baltimore Monday, April 27th as protesters clashed with police, several of whom were injured. This, after earlier Monday, the Baltimore Police Department said it had received a "credible threat" that gangs were teaming up to "take out" officers. It happened on the same day a funeral was held for Freddie Gray, who died while in police custody.

Baltimore police took to Twitter Monday -- asking that parents take responsibility for their own children as violence was unfolding in the city.

It appears one parent did just that.

Video posted to Instagram Monday appears to show a mother disciplining her son, slapping him in the face after learning he took part in Monday's #BaltimoreRiots.
