Police recover more than 30 casings from scene of double shooting near 2nd & Center

MILWAUKEE (WITI) -- Milwaukee police say two people were shot and injured near 2nd and Center on Thursday evening, April 30th.

It happened near 2nd and Center shortly before 6:00 p.m.

Police say a 25-year-old man and a 24-year-old man were shot while seated in a vehicle in the 2600 block of N. 2nd Street. They were taken to the hospital for treatment of their injuries. They are expected to be okay. A third occupant of the vehicle suffered minor wounds in the incident, but was not shot.

The circumstances of the shooting are unknown.

Officers recovered more than 30 casings from the scene -- in addition to other ballistic evidence.

No one is in custody.
