45-year-old man shot, injured after breaking into garage near 49th & Meinecke

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Monday morning, June 1st.

It happened near N. 49th Street and W. Meinecke Avenue around 5:40 a.m.

According to police, a 45-year-old Milwaukee man was shot by a 48-year-old Milwaukee man after the 45-year-old broke into the 48-year-old’s garage. The shooting victim was transported to the hospital for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.

The investigation into this incident is ongoing.

    Criminal got what he had coming. Thats why im for the 2nd amendment. The home owner had every right too protect his property

        easy remedy to that. ‘ yes officer, it was absolutely self defense. The intruder something in his hand (chances are he did have something) that looked like a gun to me and as he raised his hand in my direction I shot him. Case closed.

        The man had every right to protect his property, the mooching robber should get a job if he doesnt have one, and work for what he wants/needs. Dont take it from others
