Police: Two women injured in separate shooting incidents Tuesday evening

MILWAUKEE -- Milwaukee police are investigating two shooting incidents that occurred on Tuesday, July 21st.

The first occurred around 4:00 p.m. near 32nd and W. Brown.

Police say the 19-year-old female victim is giving conflicting stories as to the circumstances surrounding the incident.

She was taken to the hospital for treatment, and is expected to survive.

The second shooting incident occurred around 6:00 p.m. in the 1700 block of W. Walnut Avenue.

Police say a 24-year-old woman from Milwaukee was shot while in her vehicle at a stoplight. The shots were fired by an occupant of a dark-colored SUV that pulled up next to her.

The woman was taken to the hospital for treatment, and is expected to survive.

An investigation into these shooting incidents is underway.
