Police: 56-year-old driver seriously injured in crash after he failed to stop for a red light

MILWAUKEE — Police say a 56-year-old Milwaukee man was seriously injured in a crash that occurred on Friday morning, July 31st near S. 6th Street and Morgan Avenue.

It happened shortly after 8:00 a.m.

Police say the 56-year-old man was driving a vehicle headed southbound on S. 6th Street, when he failed to stop for a red light. The man’s vehicle then collided with a cargo truck being driven by a 49-year-old Greenfield man.

The Milwaukee man was taken to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The Greenfield man was also taken to the hospital — for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.

Milwaukee police are investigating this incident for possible charges.
