Milwaukee police on the hunt for Roderick Leblanc, charged with July 4th murder



MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee Police are looking for 21-year-old Roderick Leblanc.

Leblanc is charged with fatally shooting 31-year-old Mario Dancer at a 4th of July party.

A criminal complaint says a large group of family and friends had gathered outside a home on West Glen Avenue on the city’s northwest side. People were lighting off fireworks when witnesses say Leblanc shot Dancer at close range in his temple. Witnesses say the two men had been arguing.

Leblanc hasn’t been seen by law enforcement since July 4th. His brother, 25-year-old Dumar Leblanc, is charged with battering and threatening a witness on the scene. Dumar Leblanc has been arrested.

Police believe Roderick Leblanc is somewhere on the city’s north side, possibly homeless or bouncing from place to place. Leblanc is considered dangerous.

Roderick Leblanc is 5’6’’ and weighs 130 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call Milwaukee Police at 414-935-7360.
