Green Bay Packers sign wide receiver James Butler

GREEN BAY — The Green Bay Packers have signed WR James Butler.

The signing was announced Thursday, August 27th by Ted Thompson, Executive Vice President, General Manager and Director of Football Operations.

Butler, a 6-foot-2, 215-pound rookie, played in 51 games at Louisiana-Lafayette and registered 87 receptions for 1,130 yards (13.0 avg.) and four touchdowns.

As a senior, he set career highs in receptions (38) and receiving yards (470).

Butler will wear No. 13 for the Packers.
