MPD investigates death of two-year-old near 76th & Medford Ave.

MILWAUKEE -- Police are investigating the death of a two-year-old girl that occurred in a home near 76th and Medford Avenue in Milwaukee.

The call to police came in shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Friday, September 25th.

Police say the little girl was found unresponsive by her mother after a nap. CPR was attempted by neighbors prior to the arrival of the Milwaukee Fire Department.

Life-saving measures were unsuccessful and the child died on scene.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident is ongoing.

Milwaukee police will be working with the Milwaukee County Medical Examiner's Office while awaiting the results of an autopsy.
