Brookfield Square Sears store reopens after storm damage forces 7-day closure

BROOKFIELD -- The Sears store located in the Brookfield Square that was "Condemned as Dangerous and Unsafe," has reopened on Friday, September 25th after being shut down for a week.

Sears says they were in the process of replacing the roof on the store as a result of the storms we saw on September 17th and 18th -- the store was experiencing flood damage. Since September 18th, the store has been closed.

Customers were surprised when they arrived at the Sears located at 115 S Moorland Road in Brookfield on Monday, September 21st only to find it was closed due to a power outage with a sign that read the store was condemned as dangerous and unsafe.

The Sears store in the Brookfield Square Mall has reopened for business on Friday, September 25th.
