11-month-old baby among five victims in Chicago shooting; baby's mother, grandmother killed
CHICAGO -- An 11-month-old child was one of five victims in a shooting on Chicago's south side that occurred on Monday evening, September 28th. The baby's mother and grandmother were killed in the shooting.
WGN is reporting police say the group was arriving home around 7:30 p.m. from a "family outing" when someone opened fire.
Police say the 11-month-old baby was taken to the hospital, and is in stable condition.
The baby's 23-year-old mother and 46-year-old grandmother were pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital.
Two men were hurt in this shooting. One is in critical condition at the hospital. One is stable with non-life-threatening injuries.
It is unclear whether anyone has been taken into custody.
