"She turned into a wolverine!" Jules the 20-lb. French bulldog ferociously chases off bear cubs

MONROVIA, California -- The 20-pound French bulldog you'll see in the videos posted above and below may just be the bravest little French bulldog there is!

The pup was captured by surveillance cameras chasing two bear cubs from her yard.

KTLA reports it happened in Monrovia, California.

WSBT reports the French bulldog is named "Jules" -- and that the bear cubs' mother was nearby when this happened.

Jules' owner, David Hernandez, told WSBT when the bears came on this property, Jules "wasn't having it."

"You're not coming into her property," Hernandez said. "She turned into a wolverine!"

Hernandez told WSBT he has installed the surveillance cameras and boarded up windows to keep bears out of his home, as he worries for his two young children.

The bear cubs were able to make their way into the home's fenced-in yard on Friday afternoon, October 2nd -- and they slowly walked around the porch area until they were confronted by an angry resident.

Jules is seen in the videos charging down a flight of stairs -- quickly confronting the much larger animals.

 

As the small dog repeatedly lunges at the bears, they can be seen jumping back.

One then attempts to get away from the feisty dog -- but the dog is seen chasing the bear cub up and down the porch area before escaping by hopping headfirst over the fence.
