Milwaukee police: Four-year-old boy struck by vehicle near N. 37th & North

MILWAUKEE -- A four-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle when he ran into the street near N. 37th and North Avenue in Milwaukee Saturday afternoon, October 10th.

Authorities say a 40-year-old woman was driving when she struck the four-year-old boy who ran out into the street between parked cars.

The young boy was rushed to Children's Hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries.

After the accident, the driver stayed on the scene. Police say she cooperated and was not arrested.

Police do not believe alcohol was a factor in the accident. The driver did consent to a blood draw to assist with the investigation.

Authorities have not released any more details at this time.
