Four arrested after police pursuit ends in crash near N. 27th & Clybourn

MILWAUKEE --Milwaukee police arrested four suspects after the stolen car they were in fled police and crashed on the city’s west side.

District Four officers saw the Infiniti G35 near N. 60th Street and W. Silver Spring Drive around 4:50 p.m. on October 15th and recognized it as a car that was stolen in an armed robbery on October 12 near S. 27th Street and W. Ohio Avenue.

The officers attempted to stop the car but the vehicle sped off and officers began a pursuit. The pursuit ended around 5:10 p.m. when the stolen car crashed into another vehicle at N. 27th Street and W. Clybourn Street.

The four occupants of the stolen car suffered non-life threatening injuries, were transported to a local hospital, and were later taken into custody. The male citizen inside the vehicle that was struck was not injured.

The suspects that were taken into custody are a 15-year-old male, a 16-year-old male, an 18-year-old man, and a 24-year-old man, all from Milwaukee.

Officers recovered a 9mm pistol inside the stolen car. It’s believed that all of the suspects have been involved in various robberies and other crimes across the City in the past few weeks.

MPD will present this case to the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office in the coming days.
